The Motor Trade has specialist insurance needs, hence the availability of bespoke insurance cover. 

Whether you are involved in New and/or Used Vehicle Sales, Servicing and Mechanical/Body Repairs, Fuel Sales, Sales of Parts/Accessories we can arrange a bespoke policy to protect your business.

If you have Business Premises a Motor Traders Combined Policy is available to provide all the essential cover you need, enabling you to tailor the insurance product to your individual requirements.

A Motor Traders Combined policy offers:- 

  • All Risks Cover for Buildings, Tenants Improvements, Stock and Materials(including in Transit), Own Vehicles including those held for Sale, Customers Vehicles and their Contents, Portable Hand Tools and All Other Contents, Machinery & Plant (including fuel installations) and cover for Deterioration of Frozen/Chilled Foods following breakdown of the refrigeration unit
  • Business Interruption - to cover Loss of Profits/Increased Costs of Working following loss or damage
  • Outstanding Debit Balances - to cover untraceable debts following destruction of or damage to your business records
  • Glass Breakage - accidental breakage of fixed internal/external glass and sanitary fittings
  • Money/Assault - loss of money at your premises or in transit, and Death/Injury benefits arising from robbery or attempt thereat
  • Wrongful Conversion - to cover compensation arising out of vehicles that are bought or sold, when it transpires the vendor or purchaser was not the true owner
  • Employers Liability - compulsory BY LAW if you employ anyone
  • Public Liability - including Service Indemnity & Sale of Goods
  • Personal Accident (Group or Individual basis) - Lump sum and Weekly Benefits available
  • Engineering - Insurance & Statutory Inspection of certain items of Plant/Machinery
  • Road Risks - to cover you whilst driving your own(including stock) or customers vehicles, with extensions to include Accompanied Demonstration, Windscreen cover and Private Use by Relatives/Friends(named or unnamed) and Loan/Hire to Customers
For those involved in the Motor Trade who do not have premises, such as Mobile Mechanics, Trading from Home, Car Valeters, Windscreen Repairs etc you may not require a Motor Traders Combined Policy. We have arrangements with speciliast insurers who can provide alternative cover such a Road Risks and/or Liability Insurance in isolotion.
